Wildfires - Canada
Crews were fighting four new out-of-control wildfires in west-central and northwestern Alberta on Tuesday. Provincial wildfire officials said two of the fires were burning in the backcountry south of Edson. Another fire was southwest of Nordegg near Highway 11. There was also a blaze near Grande Prairie.
Wildfires - Florida, USA
Wildfires in the Big Cypress National Preserve in eastern Collier County grew larger Wednesday, forcing a closure of a large swath of the preserve north and south of Interstate 75. The fire has spread to encompass more than 4000 acres.
