Chikungunya – Thailand
The number of chikungunya cases in Thailand has risen to 6113, an increase of some 400 in the past week.
Polio – Sudan
The Sudanese Ministry of Health declared an outbreak of poliomyelitis on Aug. 9 after the confirmation of two vaccine-derived poliovirus (cVDPV2) in South Darfur.
