The Hong Kong Centre for Health Protection (CHP) announced an additional human case of avian influenza A(H5N6) in the Mainland, the 12th case in 2021.

Cholera – Nigeria and Niger

Officials in Niger report a cholera outbreak in the country, which since June 7, 201 confirmed cases have been reported, including 12 deaths (6% CFR). In Nigeria, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reports 31,425 suspected cases of cholera, 311 confirmed cases and 816 deaths since the beginning of the year from 22 states.
