Wildfires - Nevada, USA

A mobile home and two buildings have reportedly burned in the Winnemucca Ranch Fire in Palomino Valley.

The wildfire that started north of Wadsworth, The Truckee Fire, has burned an estimated 70,000 acres, or about 109 square miles. BLM says the fire is about 35% contained.

The 26,785 acre Earthstone fire is now threatening as many as 20 structures. Some residents were urged to evacuate late Wednesday.

About 450 Breckenridge-area homes remain evacuated Thursday as firefighters face a test in keeping the Peak 2 fire at bay amid warm temperatures and possibly gusting winds.

The fire blazing on remote land in Northwest Colorado grew to 8,000 acres on Thursday, as firefighters worked to contain its growth. The fire is five percent contained.
