Wildfires - Australia

People have been told to leave a town in south-east Queensland as a fast-moving fire closes in on it as firefighters battle 25 separate blazes across the state near Mareeba, Yeppoon and Rockhampton.

The 'leave now' warning for Frazerview, west of Kalbar in the Scenic Rim, came at 2.30pm on Wednesday amid a severe fire weather warning stretching across most of the state's south-east. Two water-bombing aircraft and 13 fire trucks were fighting the bushfire.
