Worldwide fatalities are over 34 000. More than 724 000 people have been infected.

USA – The number of people infected with the virus in the United States hit more than 143 000, according to a Johns Hopkins University tally, with the number of fatalities surpassing 2 400.

New York – The Governor announced today 7,681 additional cases of novel coronavirus, bringing the statewide total to 52,318 confirmed cases in New York State. The number of cases in New York City is pushing 30,000 as of today. Some 700 deaths have been recorded.

Italy – The Civil Protection department said 756 people had died in the last day, bringing the total to 10,779 — more than a third of all deaths from the virus worldwide. While the total number of confirmed cases rose to 97,689 on Sunday from a previous 92,472, it was the lowest daily rise in new cases since Wednesday.

Germany – The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Germany has reached 62,435. Meanwhile, the death toll rose to 541.

Iran – Iran’s death toll from the new coronavirus has increased to 2,757 with 117 new deaths in the past 24 hours, a health ministry spokesman told state TV, adding that the total number of cases has climbed to 41,495.
