Raung (East Java): The eruption inside the summit caldera continues with intense strombolian activity and the effusion of an intra-crater lava flow. Ash emissions have been intense enough to produce a plume that rose to 17,000 ft (5 km) altitude and drifted more than 150 km to the SE. Several regional airports including Denpasar (DPS) on Bali have been closed. Recent reports show that a new cone has been built inside the crater.
