COVID-19

Worldwide fatalities are over 58 982. More than 1,120,000 people have been infected.

USA – The number of people infected with the virus in the United States hit more than 277 900 000, according to a Johns Hopkins University tally, with the number of fatalities surpassing 7,146.

New York – New York City has reported 1,867 deaths from nearly 56,289 cases. Some 2,935 deaths have been recorded statewide from 102,863 cases.

Italy – The country’s total cases is 119,827. More deaths were also reported bringing the total to 14,681.

Germany – The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Germany has reached 92,000. Meanwhile, the death toll rose to over 1,277.

Spain – Spain reported 932 new deaths with owe 117,000 cases.

France – France has confirmed nearly 66,633 cases of the coronavirus with 6,490 deaths.

UK – The UK has now recorded 38,690 cases and the death toll has risen to 3,605.

Polio – Pakistan and Afghanistan

There were five additional wild poliovirus type 1 (WPV1) cases reported this past week in two of the remaining endemic countries–Pakistan and Afghanistan.
