Worldwide fatalities are over 82,992. More than 1,441,128 people have been infected.
USA – The number of people infected with the virus in the United States hit more than 400,549, according to a Johns Hopkins University tally, with the number of fatalities surpassing 12,857.
New York – New York City has reported 4,009 deaths from nearly 76,876 cases. Some 5,563 deaths have been recorded statewide from 140,081 cases.
Italy – The country’s total cases is 135,586. More deaths were also reported bringing the total to 17,127.
Germany – The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Germany has reached 107,659. Meanwhile, the death toll rose to over 2,017.
Spain – Spain reported 14,555 deaths with over 146,690 cases.
France – France has confirmed nearly 78,167 cases of the coronavirus with 10,328 deaths.
UK – The UK has now recorded 55,242 cases and the death toll has risen to 6,159.
Iran – The death toll in Iran from the coronavirus outbreak has reached 4,003, from 67,286 cases.
Brazil – The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Brazil rose to 12,345, including 581 deaths. São Paulo has reported the most cases and deaths of all Brazilian states. Infections have now spread across the country, including to indigenous territories in the Amazon basin that are the size of France and Spain combined. The first case among indigenous peoples was recorded in Amazonas state.
China – China on Tuesday reported no new coronavirus deaths for the first time since it started publishing figures in January, the National Health Commission said. China’s health authorities reported 32 new cases nationwide, all of which were imported. Meanwhile China has lifted the lockdown on Wuhan, allowing residents to leave the city for the first time in 76 days.
