Monkeypox – Central African Republic

With the first reports in early March 2022 and as of May 19, the Central African Republic has so far recorded 17 suspected cases of monkey pox including eight confirmed cases and two deaths (CFR 11.8%), for year 2022

Cholera – Kenya

In early May 2022, officials in Kenya detected cholera in Kisumu County and through the end of the month, a total of 319 cases and two deaths were reported. While Kisumu County is the epicenter of the outbreak, accounting for some 97 percent of cases, the outbreak has spread to Nairobi and Kiambu counties.

Dengue Fever – Singapore

With the reporting of 1190 additional dengue cases since Sunday this week, the cumulative dengue total in Singapore this year has reached 14,321 cases.

Dengue Fever – Philippines

The City Government of Zamboanga (the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit) reported 78 new dengue fever cases the week of May 29 to June 4. This brings the cumulative total for Zamboanga City to 2,377 dengue cases reported from January 1 to June 4, 2022.
