Monkeypox
Portugal – The Directorate-General for Health (DGS) confirms 18 more cases of human infection with the Monkeypox virus in Portugal, with a total of 391 cases so far.
Spain – Spain has received this Tuesday the first 5,300 doses of the Jynneos vaccine against Monkeypox as confirmed cases reach 1 100.
France – According to Sante Publique France, as of June 28, 2022, 440 cases have been confirmed, with the first case confirmed in a child.
Bird Flu – Guinea
Guinea has culled around 200,000 poultry at risk of being contaminated with the highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza, commonly known as bird flu. The West African country reported its first six outbreaks of bird flu on June 7 that killed a total of 120,478 poultry.
