Hand, Foot, Mouth Disease – Malaysia

Through June 18, the Malaysia Ministry of Health a total of 106,477 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD), an increase of some 10,000 cases in the past week.

Monkeypox

Brazil – Brazil Ministry of Health confirms 8th case of monkeypox in the country.

Lebanon – The Lebanon Ministry of Public Health reported today on the first case of monkeypox in a person who returned from abroad.

Anthrax – Ethiopia

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported: In Tigray, on 10 June, nine confirmed anthrax cases were reported in Mariam Adi-gesheti of Tahetaye adeyabo Woreda in the Northwestern Zone.

Chickenpox – Kyrgyzstan

The Kyrgyzstan Department of State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance reported 9,205 chickenpox cases were registered in Kyrgyzstan since start of the year. Most of the cases are in children under the age of 14. 369 people were hospitalized with the infection.
