Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever – Iraq

The Public Health Department has now recorded 171 confirmed cases of hemorrhagic fever, including 32 deaths, since the beginning of 2022.

Typhoid – DR Congo

In a follow-up report on the typhoid fever outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), the World Health Organization (WHO) reports in 2022, from epidemiological week 1 to 20 (ending 22 May 2022), 755,014 suspected cases of typhoid fever including 376 deaths were recorded in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Monkeypox – Ghana

The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that the African country of Ghana has joined the list of countries reporting monkeypox infection among humans in the African region. On 8 June 2022, the country reported five confirmed cases detected out of 12 suspected cases sampled between 24 May and 8 June 2022.
