Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) – Austria
On 8 September 2016 the National IHR Focal Point for Austria notified WHO of a laboratory confirmed case of Middle-East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) infection. This is the second case of MERS-CoV in Austria.
Zika Virus - Philippines
The Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) in Muntinlupa, Manila confirmed and the Philippines Department of Health (DOH) reported today about six additional locally acquired, or autochthonous Zika virus infections, bringing the total in the country to nine.
