Wildfires - France
Fires that ravaged more than 1,000 hectares (2,500 acres) of vegetation in the south of France have been brought under control, although high winds and hot weather conditions remain a concern for firefighters.
Multiple fires broke out on Monday evening in the Marseille area and the nearby departments of Aude and Tarn, requiring more than 1,000 firefighters to intervene.
